The Uffizi (2)

The Uffizi has three floors but most of the art is on the top floor.
The art is divided into rooms according to artists or groups of
artists and the rooms are numbered 1 to 40something and follow a
chronological order starting in and around the 1300's

As you follow the art through time (most of it religious) you will see
the Iconic almost cartoony faces of the 14th century Medieval times,
then onto Renaissance which is more about perspective and painting
according to mathematical accuracy. That is to say, things that are in
the foreground are made to look closer to you than those in the
foreground. Then the paintings develop by representing more realism,
skintones 6oclock shadow on the face, etc

The tour was interesting, I would not say super fun. But again, you're
in Florence, so you should do it :)
