amphitheater. It is a 14th century castle but was destroyed in WWII.
It was rebuilt in 1958, and it really looks good. It houses many
paintings, and although some are not on par with those stored in the
l'Uffizi, some others are and the security is almost non-existent so
you can walk right up to the piece and take in all of it's detail.
What stood out for me were the wing like brick structures lining the
top of the castle walls. I haven't seen this anywhere else so I'm
wondering where or what era this style belongs to.
